Mike Huckabee says he probably won't be elected President because of the lobbyists on K Street. Well, this is one DC lawyer/lobbyist who still has Main Street values and wants to help get Huckabee elected. I hope other good people who are Main Street moles inside the Beltway (and people everywhere who want to clean up the political swampland inside the Beltway) will join Team Huckabee too!

A lobbyist for Main Street?!?
Miss Smith left the midwest to go to Washington because she loves her country and believes we need more policymakers informed by faith in God and reason, instead of the cynical demagoguery practiced by many of the liberal elite. But it's hard to get your foot in the door in this town if you don't come from money, which Miss Smith didn't. (Her father was self-employed, her mother a homemaker, and she spent much of her childhood uninsured.) A gal with nothing to her name but a 1988 Chevy can't afford to take an unpaid internship on the Hill. The best alternative way in is law school - which means nearly-6-figure debt. And then Miss Smith married a public school teacher, which keeps her connected to Main Street, but doesn't help much to pay for the astronomical cost of housing. So Mrs Smith has little choice but to work on the "money side" of policymaking. But even though private companies - not the taxpayers - pay her to write legislative proposals and gin up support in the halls of Congress, she's still Mrs Smith, and she hasn't forgotten why she went to Washington.

I bought out all the "From Hope to Higher Ground" and "Quit Digging Your Grave..." books from my bookstore (they were barely in stock) and gave them out to friends and family last week :)
I also put a Huckabee bumper sticker on my backpack so everybody at the airport would know who I was rooting for!

Nice, Kevin. Where did you get the bumpersticker? I am frustrated by the lack of "Huckabee gear" on his website.

I agree, though. We have been asking for a Campaign Store for months now.
